Provide First Aid – National Course Code HLTAID003

($130 per person)
Provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to be the first aid representative at a workplace but also to help family and friends in emergency situations.
Pre-Requisites:
Participants must be 14 years or older

Provide Advanced First Aid – National Course Code HLTAID006

($200 per person)
Provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
Pre-Requisites:
Participants must be 14 years or older
Participants are required to complete an online workbook prior to the course which makes for a more relaxed and enjoyable training day.

Course Content Includes:
Assessment and management of emergency situations and casualty
Trauma Management
Apply life support skills in accordance with Resuscitation Council guidelines
Operation of automated external defibrillator
Advanced Resuscitation techniques
Administration of medication
Management of bleeding and wounds
Procedures for managing multiple injuries and multiple casualties
Administration of analgesic gases
Infection control principles and procedures

 

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – National Course Code HLTAID001

($50 per person)
Provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
Pre-Requisites:
Participants must be 14 years or older

Course Content Includes:

Managing the Unconscious Casualty
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting – National Course Code HLTAID004

($150 per person)
This course applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This unit of competency will contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulation (2011).
This unit of competency has been approved by ACECQA and meets the requirements of “First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis”.

Causes of anaphylaxis
Use of an adrenaline auto-injector for severe anaphylactic reactions

 

Provide Advanced Resuscitation – National Course Code HLTAID007

($95 per person)
Provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to use specialized equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Pre-Requisites:
Participants must be 14 years or older
Participants must have valid certification in either Provide First Aid HLTAID003, Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HLTAID001 or Provide Basic Emergency Life Support HLTAID002

Administer oxygen
Triggers that can cause an asthma episode
Apply bag and mask resuscitation techniques
Attach and operate and AED
